Band Bio

We have been performing in the
current lineup for over 2 years.

 Some of the places we have performed at are: O’Reilly’s Restaurant and Pub in Oakdale, Henry’s Inn in New Hyde Park, Giacomo Jacks in Amityville, Dirty Martini in Ronkonkoma, Brunos in Ronkonkoma, Woodhaven House in Queens and The Cherrywood Café in Wantagh.

 John Stowe – Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar:

John has been performing in various original and cover bands since his early teens. He is also a prolific songwriter. John’s original song “True Love” has been recorded by top recording artists in The Jamaican Islands. Critics have been calling his interpretations of James Brown and Al Green “Gripping and Authentic.”

Michael Corio – Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals:

Michael has been playing guitar virtually all of his life. He is a graduate of Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY. Michael released an original solo guitar instrumental CD in 2002. Andy Golba – Bass Guitar

Andy has been bassing around in numerous cover and original bands for quite some time. Whether it’s rock, pop, funk, blues, R&B or Jazz, he’ll have his basses covered. Andy’s prowess on the 6 string bass gives a distinct bottom feel to the About 11 sound.

Ken Knizek – Drums

Ken has been playing drums for many years. He has been in many different styles of bands over the years ranging from wedding to original bands. Kens playing gives a unique energy and drive to the About 11 sound.
